On May 26, in ″Endanik″ Youth Creative Centre was held an open class - event entitled ‘Let’s keep our language pure ’’ dedicated to the International Mother Language Day. The goal of the open class – event was introducing the role of the mother tongue in preserving national identity, to educate patriotism qualities among teenagers, strives to preserve the beauty and fluency of native language, to develop their communication in marvelous language, to inspire the idea of learning foreign languages, but also keeping the native language pure. The event was attended by teachers, guests, parents and students of other group’s students.
The event began with the famous lines of Kh. Abovyan ″I tell you, you Armenian new young , learn ten languages, but hold your language, your faith tightly ″, which was a peculiar message to the younger generation. English language group’s students briefly presented the history of the development of the Armenian language and proudly talked about Armenian splendid language that inherited from our elders. The students presented Armenian and foreign famous people's ideas about Armenian language with combination of a beautiful presentation. Students' speech was full of calls and messages of keeping mother tongue '’clean and pure'’, as like the country, the language also needs daily protection. During the event, students of song and dance group, with their touching and sincere performance introduced the song "Mesropashunch hayoc tarer". The patriotic dance performance transferred patriotic spirit to all attendees, proving once again that the power of Armenians is in its unity and cohesion. Armenian language comes from centuries, and as a strong shield, has carried many attacks of enemy, but remained unshaken, our language became parchment and book against the sword and fire of enemy.
