Gyumri is a place, where everybody from Gyumri and Shirak lives, it is his/ her aspiration, desire and bright place of pilgrimage, hope and trust.
On September 5th the annual festival “The day of Gyumri” was solemnly celebrated.
The Ministry of SE of RA “Endanik” youth creative center brought its active participation in the events organized in the city’s cultural centers and public places.
The aim of this original initiative was the restoration and preservation of the national traditions, crafts and arts, the making of national culture, rituals and feasts more organized, as a prerequisite for the city’s development.
The working process of making carpet, rug, jewels made of clay and silver was shown by the pupils of the center in the house- museums of Av, Isahakyan and H. Shiraz.
The ensembles of “Endanik” center presented folk and ethnographic songs and dances in the “Festival of bread”, a festival which has already become a tradition in the frame of the celebration of the city’s day. The presentations reflected Armenians’ soul and devotion to national traditions. The thematic works, done by the pupils of different groups and shown in the exhibition hall, were unique creations of their mind and hand, and these were the proves of the Armenians’ creative identity and spirit.
The admiration, delight that Felix Tsolakyan, the Governor of Shirak region, expressed about the unique exhibition presented by “Endanik” youth creative center was especially remarkable.
