The closing of the program entitled “The silent witnesses of the history” in the “Endanik” youth creative center

On May 30, in  “Endanik” youth creative center of Gyumri took place the closing event of the program entitled “The silent witnesses of history” devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, which was started in April.
The leaders of the national minorities and communities of Shirak region, directors of schools, representatives of the staffs of the municipal and regional administrations, members of the union of the writers of the Shirak region, cultural figures, Shirak Diocese officials, parents and pupils took part in the event.
The director of “Endanik” center, Arthur Minassyan greeted the attendees and expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and active participation in the works of the program. He stressed in his speech the important role of the seminars, monuments’ cleaning, the placement of informative signboards, the preparation of reference book about the monuments of Armenia and the symbolic tree planting in the promotion of cooperation, in the expansion of the knowledge of the teenagers, in the national and patriotic education and in the enhancement of the role of  extracurricular education.
Then the attendees took part in the opening of the exhibition of the awarded and the best individual and group creative works done for the thematic contest in the frame of the program and the authors of these works were the teenagers of  “Endanik” center, national minorities and communities of Shirak region. The work done by the pupils of the group of jewelry, the fist prize winner, was especially impressive, they have got the present look of the St. Savior church of Ani with bars of brass and mekhlior.
The creative works of  teenagers represented national culture of centuries and its individuality.
They expressed their indignation and revolt, unyielding spirit of recreating and continuing to live, the power of resisting and struggling through the creative works.
The authors of the winning works were awarded, the leaders of the national minorities and communities received diplomas.
The parents cited in their speeches, that the program became a unified motion, where everyone realized the importance of solidarity in the keeping peace of the country and in the preservation of the national historical and cultural values. 
The president of the union of Yezdis of the Northern regions H. Feroyan, the president of the “Rosio” NGO branch of Gyumri L. Haroutyunyan, the director of the secondary school of the village Toros G. Hakobyan thanked and stressed the importance of the necessity of the realization of this extensive and multifaceted program.
 
The program was closed with an artistic event in which the pupils of the center and the teenagers of the national minorities delivered their inspired and impressive speeches. The performance of the dance “Forget - me - not” performed by the artistic administrator of the center M. Torosyan touched the audience and proved once more, that no matter how many times the world tries to cover the tragic pages of the Armenians with the veil of oblivion and dust of history, however, thousands of silent and speaking witnesses will prove that WE EXIST, WE SHALL EXIST, AND SHALL BECOME MORE AND MORE.
