An exhibition entitled “The color of the pain” devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

The events devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide go on in the Ministry of SE of the RA “Endanik” youth creative center of Gyumri.  
From November 2 to 5 in the center took place the exhibition of the best works of the creative contest entitled “The color of the pain”. 
Among the exhibits were more than 20 works done in different styles of applied decorative art and the authors were teenagers of the “Endanik” center and other educational institutions. The works of the teenagers from communities Tsoghamarg, Mayisyan and Arapi of Shirak region were unique.
The aim of the contest was to pay tribute to the Armenian Genocide victims, to stimulate the creative thinking of teenagers, to keep awaken the national memory, to develop the ability to collaborate and to discover talented children. 
Artists, pedagogues, parents, pupils were present in the opening of the exhibition, who greatly evaluated the exhibited diverse works.
The works were done on the following themes: “Tragic pages of the past”, “Recognition of the Genocide”, “A fair fight”, “My demand is one”, “We’ll continue our struggle”, “A bright future”, “Renaissance”.  The works expressed the sad and tragic fragments, episodes of the ancestors’ life and Armenians’ history, the internal protest, demand, unyielding fight.
The director of the center Arthur Minassyan awarded the authors of the works, who won the first three places of 10-14 and 15-18 age groups with diplomas and prizes. The best creative idea was also awarded.
The event proved once more that despite of the pain of suffer and loss, the Armenians will never stop to create marvelous works of art.
