Launching of educational program ″Endanik on the wheels″

On May 2, in ″Endanik″ Youth Creative centre of the Ministry of SE launched the first phase of educational program ″Endanik on the wheels″. Professional orientation courses were began from the community Arevshat of Shirak region, which will be continued in Getap, Anushavan, Geghanist, Spandaryan, Qarabert, Dzithanqov, Sarakap, Sepasar, Krasar, Ghazanchi, Sizavet, Bavra, Tavshut communities and in cultural centers of Javakhk. The goal of the first phase of the program is to support teenagers’ professional orientation, to reveal their wills and preferable professions, to promote the dissemination and preservation of national arts and crafts, to strengthen linkages between communities’ educational and cultural institutions, to highlighte the role of extracurricular education. In the secondary school of Arevshat courses were held on the following specialties; pottery, carpet-making, embroidery, bijouterie, national songs and dance, silversmithing, painting.Villager adolescents participated in studies with great interest and dedication, getting acquainted with the secrets of the arts and crafts branches revealing their preferences. Pupils indicated that there are no places of entertainment in their community; as a result they have problems with employment and self-expression. "I would like to continue the work of pottery group in our community, as the villager child is isolated from the outside world, openning of similar groups will also introduce our ancient culture, which is important for the preservation of national identity", said Ani Davtyan the teenager from Spandaryan community. Karine Gharamanyan pupil of Arevshat’s high school noted in his impressions; “Long ago there was not such a thing in our community. I welcome the fact that such organizations are able to make our everyday life interesting and colorful. I wish that such groups to be in our school, as children do all works with great interest and many even have time to indulge in specific professions. "
