Heghine Kushkyan, the editor-in-chief of the "Horizon" news agency, who has more than three decades of experience and mastery in the field, presented to the students of the media literacy, creative journalism, philanthropy and speech mastery groups why the free media is considered one of the pillars of a democratic society, talked about recognizing the media, its role, significance, information about the skills of navigating, analyzing and verifying in a huge volume, responding to media actions. They toured the booths of the television and radio company and got acquainted with the technical works of broadcasting live broadcasts, news recording, and editing. The journalists and presenters of the Shant TV and Radio Company presented the students with the primary goal of journalism - to provide citizens with the information they need to be free and independent. : The teenagers asked the questions they were interested in, listened to the answers, and learned how to distinguish propaganda from objective information, to avoid the negative effects of the media.
