"Now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth." (Ephesians 5:8-9)
The event titled "The Miracle of Christmas in My Soul" began with the blessing of the parish priest of the Holy Martyrs Church in Gyumri, Father(Priest) Grigor Mkrtchyan, and a communal prayer to the Lord.
The audience for the event consisted of students from Artsakh who regularly attend the center. In his spiritual sermon, Father Mkrtchyan reflected on the mystery of the birth of Christ, particularly emphasizing, "The glorious birth of Jesus Christ was none other than the reaffirmation of the divine command, 'Let there be Light.'"
Father Mkrtchyan urged that our Artsakh compatriots be enveloped in love and warmth that they may believe in their bright future. He encouraged them to keep the divine hope of their souls alive, to be filled with optimism, and to live and work in Mother Armenia.
He also expressed his filial love and sincere gratitude to the center, which, despite many difficulties, continues to support and stand by the people of Artsakh. On the occasion of the festive light of Christmas, a communal prayer was raised to God for the peace of the Armenian land, for the souls of the fallen brave heroes, and for the Armenian soldiers guarding the borders.
Following the spiritual address, the students from Artsakh watched the theatrical performance "The Magical Fairytale" by the Mimzi Theater Studio, which carried valuable lessons for everyone—about dreaming and living with the anticipation of surprises.
The students then participated in interesting games and competitions with Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, followed by a colorful festive event. The center's brass band, drum, and dance groups performed for the audience. The artistic part of the event concluded with Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, with the support of the French organization Œuvre d'Orient and" Endanik" NGO, distributing New Year's gifts to the children.
