On February 14, 40 days after the date of Christ's Nativity, the Armenian Apostolic Church marks the donation of forty-day old Baby Jesus in the temple, Tearnendaraj. «Endanik» Youth Creative Center SNCO, faithful to religious ceremony and folk tradition, celebrated Terendez with great solemnity.
The high festive mood ruling in the courtyard of the Center, spring cheerful atmosphere and the desire to transfer all the symbols of the holiday combined religious people, students, parents, teachers and community residents.
This religious and folk holiday was held by a series of ritual and symbolic acts. The participants first introduced the holiday sacrament, preserved folk customs and traditions, then their beautiful dances, ethnic and folk songs made the audience also participate in the celebration.
The festive atmosphere completely made «wedding» staging, handing out of holiday symbols, and fire lighting ceremony as a symbol of Christ's saving light. Attendees sang hymns, lit candles around a single circle caught fire as a symbol of spring’s coming and revival of nature.
The holiday celebration ended in St. Jacob Mtsbnetsi church where the students met with the Lord's priest Faustus Sargsyan. The priest told the audience new details on the Council and holiday rite, gave his blessing and wished everyone the true light of Jesus Christ light up their minds and warm their spirits.
