“Endanik” youth creative center of Gyumri of Ministry of Education of Republic of Armenia began the realization of the educational program for teachers and teenagers of the villages of Shirak region from 25th of August, which had the following title ““Endanik” on wheels”.
The aim of the program was to give importance to the role of the extracurricular education, to realize the training courses for the teachers of the villages of Shirak region of fields of national crafts and art, to help teenagers in choosing the profession and in development of abilities, to give chance to teachers and pupils of the center of communities to create by themselves, to evaluate own abilities and for this purpose organize practical courses.
During the first phase of the program from 25th to 29th August, the training of 18 teachers from communities had been realized in “Endanik” center. During the training courses the teachers discover the methods of the realization of community research and of detection of needs, they arose linking ways for teenagers to their community by the development of the own community and by the realization of extracurricular educational programs, they discussed professional educational programs and new methods of teaching.
From 1st to 5th of September /second phase of the program/ the pupils and group leaders of the center together with trained teachers organized practical courses in 10 village communities (Torosgyugh, Goghovit, Haykavan, Voskehask, Dzadzur, Marmashen, Jradzor, Varhamaberd, Coxamarg, Musayelyan) for teenagers who live in villages. During the realization of the practical courses teenagers discover, that the single way leading to knowledge it is the studying and the serving to purpose of these gained knowledge.
The heads of communities and directors of schools gave great importance to the realization of programs like this in village communities, expressing their admiration and merit to the staff of the center, mentioning, that cooperation between “Endanik” center and village communities will become the bridge, which will unite those persons who are interested in the upbringing of the younger generation with national mentality.
The result was pleasing: the participants of the program ascertained once more that:
“ Learn crafts, do not be tender, the crafts is golden bracelet to man…”
