On February 28, 2015 an event entitled “Volunteers to Armenia” took place in Montebello city of the state of California of the USA, which was organized with the efforts of “Armenian cultural foundation” of Montebello.
The aim of the event was to promote volunteer activities in Armenia, Artsakh, Javakhk and to strengthen ties between the Diaspora and homeland.
Students from Armenian high schools of the USA, youth organizations, “Association of Armenian students” were invited to participate in the event.
The hall was equipped in congress holding format and all participants had their own pavilions, from where they could introduce themselves to the other participants. There was also a special pavilion for the participants, who wanted to present their suggestions and possibilities of volunteering to the attendees.
Together with “Endanik” youth creative center the scope, activity of “Endanik” NGO and “Gyumri number 4 craftsman college SNCO” was also presented for the participation in the event.
Varouzh Badumyan, volunteer from the USA, presented the ministry of SE of the RA “Endanik” youth creative center SNCO in the exhibition.
Mr. Badumyan reported “We witnessed a great, admirable initiative, which was organized by “Armenian cultural foundation” of Montebello. Many of the participants got acquainted with national traditions and culture preservation promoting activities of “Endanik” youth creative center and emphasized the importance of such events for deepening and strengthening of relations between Armenia and Diaspora.
