The chess tournament entitled “Show your victory” took place from 28 to 30 of September in the “Endanik” youth creative center, in which participated pupils from the primary schools number 11, 40, “Foton” college, “Chess sports school” of Gyumri, named after Tigran Petrosyan and “Endanik” center. The great part of the participants had 3rd, 4th degree qualification.The aim of the tournament was to develop the logical thinking, intellect, the abilities of orientation and collaboration, to shape the strive to win, to generate interest towards chess, to give the opportunities of expressing own capabilities.
Three days of furious chess whirl was followed by pedagogues, parents and coaches.
The tournament was consisted of 4 stages, according to the Olympic system.
Each of the participants showed the knowledge, volitional qualities, flexibility of mind, the ability of making quick decisions for reaching to the desired result.
The participants kept the enthusiasm and competitive spirit during the tournament.
The director of the “Endanik” center A. Minassyan awarded with diplomas and prizes whishing them new successes and achievements. Ruzanna Bernetsyan, the pupil of the “Chess sports school” of Gyumri, named after Tigran Petrosyan was awarded for winning the first place, Vardan Vardanyan, the pupil of the primary school number 40 for winning the second place and Khachatur Bernetsyan, the pupil of the same sports school for winning the third place.
Levon Adibekyan as the youngest participant, as well as Vladik Mikaelyan and Ashot Harutyunyan as active participants of the tournament were also awarded with diplomas.
