″ Endanik ″ center. "Aivazovsky -200" program summary

On June 14 ″ Endanik″ Youth Creative Centre of the Ministry of SE summed up the program dedicated to the 200th anniversary of world famous seascape painter Hovhannes Aivazovsky. The program goal was to appreciate seascape painter H. Aivazovsky's art, to introduce his works, to give the opportunity to the young artists to reproduce the works of the seascape in their own way, to communicate and learn from masters of art field’s representatives. Within the framework of the project, seminars and discussions were conducted in Ashotsk, Goghovit, Yerazgavors, Torosgyugh and Tsogamarg communities of Shirak region, planned mass action under the heading "Paint yourself" in Gyumri Vardanants Square, evaluation of  "Ayvazovski -200" creative competition announced in February, and Street art performance with two competitive best examples. The final event was attended by A. Kachigarov the Deputy Consul of General Embassy of Russia in Gyumri , G. Manukyan  Chairman of Artists' Union in Gyumri, Sh. Melkonyan the director of Mher Mkrtchyan’s Museum in Gyumri, Aslamazyan Sisters House Museum Director V. Ghukasyan, artists, educators, parents and students of various educational institutions. "On behalf of the Russian General Embassy in Gyumri, I greet all participants of the event. This year we celebrate not only the 200th anniversary of Ayvazovski, but also the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Armenian-Russian diplomatic relations. As our minister Lavrov said, Armenian and Russian peoples are intertwined in different spheres, including cultural ones. And so, cultural figures of the two countries mutually enrich each other's culture. In my opinion Hovhannes Aivazovsky is a wonderful example of enriching such cultural relations. And again thank you for the invitation and I would like to congratulate all the winners and participants of the competition in advance, who did not win prizes. Their works are also done with high quality, "- noted Mr. A. Kachigarov in his speech. The participants of the creative competition after getting acquainted with the prize-winning works estimated by the professional panel took part in the solemn award ceremony. The honor of awarding teens was given to the Chairman of Artists’ Union of Shirak region G. Manukyan, who handed the diplomas to the winners in 8-12 and 13-18 age groups, as well as the adolescents who have the sympathy of the audience, and have been awarded by "Endanik" Center’s directorate and the teens that have an alternative approach. The official ceremony was followed by artistic performances of students, giving admiration and good mood to the audience. By the way, the prize winners will leave for Yerevan in September to participate in the exclusive exhibition of Aivazovsky's works at the National Gallery of Armenia.
